Schema Spaghetti untangle your @ids
Site-wide schema visualiser

Paste your schema.
See the spaghetti.

Drop in your JSON-LD from every page and the tool draws how your entities link up, and shows you every broken @id.

What is the Schema Spaghetti tool?

Schema Spaghetti is a free visualiser tool for site-wide structured data. You paste in the JSON-LD from your pages, and it draws every entity as a dot and every @id reference between them as a strand of spaghetti.

Where your markup is neatly connected, you get a tidy plate. Where it isn't, you get knots, dangling strands and lone noodles, and the Tangle report tells you exactly which ones.

Why bother?

Checking the schema on one page is easy. Knowing whether your Organization, WebSite, WebPage and Person entities connect up across the whole site is much harder, and you can't see it by reading raw JSON.

When an @id points at something that is never declared, or the same entity turns up under two slightly different @ids, the connection between your entities can break without any error message. This tool makes those breaks visible.

What Schema Spaghetti checks

The Tangle report looks for eight things:

01

Dangling strands

An @id reference that points at something that doesn't exist.

02

Lone noodles

An entity with an @id that only one page mentions, with nothing else linking to it. This might be intentional, but why specify an id that goes nowhere?

03

One pot

Whether you have exactly one WebSite entity. More than one is a potential problem.

04

Twin strands

The same @id with tiny differences, like http vs https or a trailing slash.

05

Unlabelled twins

The same type and name on several pages with no @id at all.

06

Mixed-up strands

One @id declared with a different type or name on different pages.

07

Bare plates

Pages with no JSON-LD at all.

08

The main sauce

Whether an Organization (or business subtype) entity exists anywhere.

Who is it for?

SEOs, developers, agencies and in-house teams who write or audit structured data and want to see the whole picture, not just one page at a time.

Is this a schema validator?

No, this tool does not validate your markup. If you want to validate, then use schema.org, Classy Schema, or Google Rich Results Tester. I use all three validators for the most accurate results.

Your data stays in your browser

  • Everything you paste or upload is processed on your own device (inside your browser).
  • Nothing is uploaded, sent to a server, or shared with anyone. The page is set up to block outgoing data connections.
  • We don't use accounts, cookies or analytics, and we don't keep your markup. When you press the button to build your graph, your browser holds it briefly in this tab's temporary storage just to pass it to the tool page, then clears it straight away.
  • CSV uploads are checked before they're read, and anything that isn't a plain-text CSV is rejected. See more details here.
